INTERNICOLA Anthony
As the son of Italian-Canadians, Anthony was born in Toronto Ontario Canada in the year of 1975. Anthony knows just how lucky he is to be part of the broader story of Toronto’s multicultural and diverse landscape. Anthony has lived in Scarborough since the age of 8 years old and has grown to appreciate the cities relationship with community life. He himself has settled down in what he considers a mosaic and is the proud father of two beautiful girls-Isabella and Cecilia. Anthony considers all his family members to be equally important, but his daughter Cecilia strikes a different kind of chord in his heart. Having been born with severe autism, Cecilia requires a safe and inclusive environment that she can thrive in. To Anthony, that is Scarborough. As such, the issue of maintaining and nurturing a healthy community life is all the more pressing for Anthony, as he strongly believes that overcoming barriers and obstacles in life begins and ends with each other. As he’s partnered himself with local programs focussed on repairing relations and communal support, Anthony wants nothing more than to balance the needs of this community and its interests.
