From the beginning, I wanted this campaign to be about people, not money.
I never entered this race expecting residents to carry the financial burden of my campaign. I have worked hard to move this campaign forward with the resources I have because I believe leadership begins with taking responsibility yourself.
But we are now in the final weeks before October 26, and there is still important work to do.
We need more campaign signs, literature and community outreach to make sure residents across Etobicoke–Lakeshore know who I am, what I stand for and the kind of representation I want to bring to City Hall.
I cannot reach every neighbourhood alone.
So after careful thought, I have decided to open this campaign to contributions from people who believe in what we are building.
