11 Changes that will SERVE YOU and Issues that need Immediate Attention!!!!
1.) Public Safety
Some of our neighbourhoods are riddled with crime. Now our residents not only deal with petty crimes but also shootings.
It is imperative that we can raise our children where they can play with an assurance of safety.
- By tackling Gun Violence and Crime by Removal of illegal guns off our streets, by cooperating and brainstorm with all levels of government and law enforcement officials. Anthony will demand a greater police presence. Providing more funding for social recreational programs, to keep children and teens engaged with a happy lifestyle, instead of attracting violence and crime.
- Supporting our First Responders, Anthony Internicola is 100% on board in giving more support to our, Fire, Ambulance and Police.
2.) TTC Public Transit The Scarborough Subway
- An important addition to the infrastructure is an extension of the subway system through the community of Scarborough along Sheppard to the Scarborough Town Centre……. INTERNICOLA Anthony STRONGLY THINKS and especially the vision of the people of our community believe that the Scarborough subway should go beyond Toronto metro zoo!
- Anthony will strongly advocate for the extension of the Scarborough Subway line into our lovely neighborhood, knowing that the subway will be in our Ward, along Sheppard, immediately upon his election to city council. It has been the vision of the people of Scarborough, for a while now, and it is time to get it delivered to Scarborough!
3.) Public Infrastructure
- The infrastructure of Scarborough North City of Toronto is critical for a harmonious lifestyle and community growth. Starting with a Scarborough subway line, This includes Investing in public roads, Public parks and recreational areas.
- Real estate developments and housing projects should be encouraged and controlled such that the developers contribute to the infrastructure of the area!
- Councillor INTERNICOLA Anthony Promises we will keep you informed and at the same time get your feedback. A healthy dialogue between, Councillor Anthony Internicola as your representative, and you, the people he owes his job and his thanks. Town Hall meetings, as well as our website, will be used to accomplish this. For example, re-developments will be presented to you in this manner to ensure the ward would maintain a healthy quality of life.
4.) The People Vision is to Increasing Bicycle Lane
- Internicola Anthony Listens to people's vision regarding bicycle lanes, is to increase more lanes, also the people of Scarborough would love to see bicycle lanes in Scarborough north!
5.) Supporting Our Seniors
- Seniors deserve our attention; we will also be advocating for more programs to support seniors to enhance their quality of life by providing more recreational activities for our seniors to maintain good health.
6.) Mental Health
- To influence public policy surrounding mental health by forging strong relationships with policymakers and enable those who are most affected to directly participate in decision-making
- Anthony Internicola As a proud father of two beautiful daughters his youngest daughter that has a disability, which she suffers from autism, microcephaly and global delay, unfortunately, she cannot voice her concerns and Anthony is her voice. There are many people just like her that suffers from different disabilities and mental health, and Councillor Anthony Internicola very much understands!
- The People Councillor, it is Anthony’s duty, he is going to bring their voice within his voice and envision their views and get their message delivered because it is also his Vision!
7.) Community Support Programs
- Again, Supporting Programs for mental health and Community Support Programs by forging strong relationships with policymakers and enabling those who are most affected to directly participate in decision-making.
- More after-school programs for youth!
- More Public Community Programs
- More Support Programs
- An example of Support Program, Anthony Internicola has been working on establishing an awesome support outreach program called “Project Reborn”! This is to support all people when life has taken them what can best be described as an emotional “sink-hole!”, “Ground Zero!”
- The program will deliver to Youth or Adults an emotional support system through difficult times to help them cope. Let them know they are not alone. Therefore, they can become the individual that they were born to be, with success and happiness! Give back a sense of strength and pride!
8.) Engaging Community by Promoting Diverse Multicultural Events
- To engage and foster a community that has their needs met by developing and expanding its services while promoting a diverse multicultural and inclusion in community life.
- By Electing Councillor Anthony INTERNICOLA You Will, see more community engagement such as more Community block parties, Park events, and community barbeques!
9.) Women Empowerment
- To increase women empowerment and redefine gender roles so that women and men can coexist on an equal playing field.
10.) Avoiding Municipal Taxes & Services fees increase
- Finding inefficiencies in City Hall to avoid municipal property taxes & city services fees increase
11.) Rooming Houses
- Ensuring our community has a strong voice regarding the establishment of rooming houses in our neighbourhoods.
- Councillor Anthony Internicola is aware that there are people for the idea and against the idea.
